Flows works by ingesting and monitoring data from various data sources and using this data to trigger one or more workflows (flows). Flows allows you to define access control in order to limit what users can do in different situations. Across control works on two levels: Teams &amp; Workspaces.<h2>Teams</h2>Every user in Flows will belong to a Team. All users invited to a team will have the "member" role unless they are an owner. Workspaces help to organise flows based on different groupings. All folders within a workspace will be visible and accessible by all users in the workspace.&nbsp;

Apps are a key part of Flows that allow you to communicate with 3rd party systems outside Flows in an easy way.In order to start using an App in your flows you first need to install it into your team and configure a connection to it.<h2>Installing an App</h2>To install an App click on the App icon in the main menu and then click on the App Marketplace button. The App Marketplace contains a collection of all Apps that are available to install and is constantly growing.&nbsp;<a href="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/547966544/507b537a64088029bd6504f2/image.png"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/547966544/507b537a64088029bd6504f2/image.png"></a>Once you've found the App you want, click on the Install button to add the App to your Team<a href="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/547966740/6a33a38bafb1b2f23e92244c/image.png"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/547966740/6a33a38bafb1b2f23e92244c/image.png"></a>Once an App is installed, it will show in your App list and you can click on it to configure it.<a href="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/547967099/90e5b75b211cddf52d3adcb5/image.png"><img src="https://downloads.intercomcdn.com/i/o/547967099/90e5b75b211cddf52d3adcb5/image.png"></a>An App cannot work without at least one connection. Configuring connections is described in the <a href="https://help.flows.world/en/article/app-connections">next section</a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Apps offers an easy way to work with any applications and systems outside of Flows. By developing an App you can give users a simple way to call external systems from within their Flows.You can create an App through Flows without code however there are some concepts that will require some technical knowledge of APIs and Connections depending on how the service you are building your App for works. These will be described in more detail in the App Development help pages.Throughout the help pages, we're going to create a Weather App that connects to the free weather API service found <a href="https://www.weatherapi.com/">here</a>.
